Hotel for a week

Jonathan still had to work the week before our flight on Aug. 1st. We stayed at the Drury Inn at Shiloh. We were in a suite, so Sawyer had some room to play. Kelly (my good military friend that is moving to England soon) came to the hotel a couple of mornings to help me get Sawyer down to eat breakfast. Yes, I was still sick. She is much appreciated. Ella (Kelly’s baby girl/Sawyers girl friend) was always there to help, too. Sawyer loves to see Ella, and he talks about her all the time. He is usually sweet and gentle with her. However, lately he has been playing too rough with her. Next time they see each other (hopefully in England) Ella will be much bigger and ready for payback!

Grandma and Grandpa Pearce’s

Sawyer loved going for rides on the lawn mower, sitting on all the big boy toys like motorcycles and 4-wheelers, swinging, playing baseball and golf with Grandpa Pearce. Uncle Bub and his new wife Whitney left their dog with Mom because they went to a wedding in St. Louis. Besides helping Grandma Pearce pick up after the dog, they both played and played with Miley! Uncle Bub and Whitney definitely spoil Sawyer. They will do whatever Sawyer wants whenever he wants it. Bub especially likes to spoil him with cookies and candy etc. Mama doesn’t like it, but his day is coming.

T-shirt Cousins

Ilsa, Oliver, and Sawyer had a great visit last week. They will see each other again at Christmas time! We will miss them so much! We may not recognize Oliver when we return. He will be sooooooo BIG!

Maudie and Pa’s House (Debbie and Frank)

Sawyer enjoyed many rides in the wagon. Taking long walks outside just about whenever he wanted. You see, Pa is a sucker! When Sawyer brings him his shoes, he can’t resist, he usually always gets ready to take Sawyer outside. Sawyer knows he has him trained. Maudie is always teaching Sawyer something, and it doesn’t matter how many times I try to teach him the same thing he always learns it from her within minutes. Maudie clearly cherished her last week with Sawyer. Jared, Celeste, Ilsa and Oliver were there, too. Jared took a day off work which was nice. It is always nice to visit with them. We thought we were so far away before, but it seems like nothing compared to now. Sawyer and Ilsa are just learning to play together. They had a few cute moments when they thought none of us were watching. Oliver is the newest member of the family. He fits right in, but he is so good that sometimes we don’t know he is there. Mamaw (Franks Mom) came to visit us at Debbie’s. It was nice, but I was sick most of the day. (Thanks for the chicken Frank, it really hit the spot). Unfortunately, I was sick the majority of the time I was at Debbie's. Sawyer was well taken care of while I was out of commisssion. Later that week we visited Mami and Pappy (Debbie’s Grandparents). We hadn’t been there for a very long time. Granddaddy and Grandmamma (Debbie’s parents) always enjoy playing with Sawyer. We had fun cutting up with Melinda and her crew. Sawyer also loved sitting on Rick’s motorcycle.

Packing and Moving

All our packing was finished in 2 full days. All our stuff was loaded on a 20 foot sea container. We were left with a house, but no furniture, or even any toilet paper. Sawyer did not like the fact that the guys came and took all his stuff. He was unpacking the boxes any chance he got. He was also saying “No! This house.” He clearly did not want to move. After we were all packed we stayed in a hotel for a few days until our week vacation started.

New Mitchell on the way!

We found out a few days ago that we are expecting another baby! After two miscarriages we are thrilled. Today we had an ultrasound. I am 5 weeks and 2 days along and my due date is March 11th.

Mark and Whitney are Married

Sorry, I couldn't get the pictures any larger. Mark (my brother ‘Bub’) and Whitney had a very beautiful wedding. It was nice to attend their wedding before we left for AUS. Sawyer was the ring bearer, but I don’t really think he truly did his job. He sure did look cute in his tux. Jonathan was an usher, and I sang. We all had a really good time. And it was the last time to see the Pearce’s before our trip.
