Sawyer found some cute girls to play with at the beach.
We went to Bondi Beach today. We drove around for literally 2 hours to find a parking spot. It was so packed! It is the most popular beach in Australia. We pulled into a parking spot, and a guy came out of nowhere and knocked on the window of our car. He said he had been waiting on our spot for the last 10 minutes, and he wanted us to move so he could park there. We didn't disagree with him too much after we saw his huge muscular arms with 100's of tattoos. Against my will, we did move at let him have our spot with our tail between our legs. Note: He was obviously not Australian. Most Australians we find to be very curtious and well mannered. Well, driving in Australia takes a lot of getting used to, and we have done a fair bit of driving on weekends and on trips. I do most of the driving because you all know I will get sick if someone else is driving. We were not really prepared for what happend today. I crashed into the back of a (blue) BMW! Oh, yes you read that correctly. Two guys (mid 20's) whipped into our lane as we were trying to merge behind them into their lane. Neither of us were successful. We have quite a bit of damage to our rental car (white), and they got away with just a few scratches. We spent an hour exchanging information and calling all the right people to make it legal. It is Sunday here and our rental company was not open. Who knows what we are in for. Oops!

It was gorgeous in Sydney today. We took a train to Circular Quay in downtown Sydney to see the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Market, etc. Sawyer is really big into trains and he thought it was so cool to ride in one. Sawyer is also facinated with pirates. We saw this boat with men sitting on the mast. Sawyer thought that was the coolest.
This afternoon we flew to Newcastle again so that Jonathan could work at the office here. Friday he will be attending a Peabody golfing function at East Maitland where our hotel is located. Maybe I can get him to blog about his day later. Sawyer and I went to a town 8 km from East Maitland called Moperth to shop. They had cute botiques, antique shops, and tea & coffee shops. While Jonathan was golfing on Friday we went for a drive in the country between these two towns, mainly because we had to check out of our hotel and Sawyer needed a nap. After going to Sydney for the weekend we will be driving back to Newcastle on Monday and flying back home on Tuesday.

Today we went to Mt. Tamborine which is an hour Southwest of Brisbane. It is a mountain with several tourist attractions. We went into a cave and saw tens of thousands of glow worms. We couldn't take any pictures because if the flash from the camera gets in contact with the glow worm it will kill it. We also went on a 30 minute hiking trail through the rain forest. The temperature dropped several degrees when you entered the rain forest. We saw a waterfall at the end of our hike. I got very hot and Jonathan made me a tie for my hair out of some type of plant. Our hike was really awesome!
