The ladies at our church, Carey Baptist, had a baby shower for me. It was at Lyn's house, and there were about 12 ladies there. They made a ton of food. We had High Tea and even a cake after that. We visited and laughed a lot about our different cultures. They were very generous and gave our baby lots of nice things. Our family is really enjoying our little church here in AUS!
After the shower, Ruth, our good friend from church who is from South Africa went out with us for dinner to celebrate her last night in Bulimba. She is a veternary nurse who unfortunately, for us, had to move across town for a new job. Sawyer wanted her to read his good night story to him. He picks her flowers, and so on. I think Ruth loves having a young boy friend.

The Peabody expatriates (Americans) had a baby shower for me. Kristin, Laura, and Linda Wickstra did a tremendous job planning it. We had High Tea at Joseph Alexander's Tea House. The table was very formally set with fine china and beautiful flowers in tea pots that I learned later was for me to take home. Yeah! They really put a lot of thought and effort into our shower. I say 'our' because there is another Peabody employee, Jennifer, that is due 4 days after me and we were able to enjoy a baby girl and boy shower together. It was really a great time and I think we all loved the fine teas that we were able to try. As many of you know, hot tea is kind of my thing so I completely loved it! They were all very creative in their gifts. I got many trendy baby girl accessories including a pair of Daisy Duke shorts that fit her name perfectly. For those of you who don't know we are planning to name her Daisy Ann. Thanks girls for a great time and a great baby shower!
