Company Christmas Party

This photo was taken after having an entire coke poured down my back. Laura was so sweet to dry my shirt under the hand dryer in the bathroom, and Becky retied my bow for the finishing touches.

To be honest, Jonathan and I weren't thrilled about the "western wear" dress code, so we dressed in a modified version of "western"meaning we wore jeans. Some people went all out! It was a really fun night, and it was extra exciting since Ross and Laura were able to join us!

Sawyer's School Christmas Party

His school party was fun. It was a sausage sizzle, petting zoo, bouncy castle, face painting, Santa, and gifts. What kid wouldn't have fun with all of that?

The Foxtel Lap

Jonathan (among many others across Australia) ran several kilometers in the Foxtel Lap to raise funds for the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute. All funds raised went directly to research to improve the lives of children with conditions like allergies, diabetes, obesity, premature birth and cancer. The kids and I went into the city to watch Daddy run.

Santa's in Brisbane

Sawyer loved telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas...

...and Daisy did not! This is as close as she got to him, but he still gave her those pretty angel wings. She loved them!

Since Christmas has a completely different feeling in Australia with the hot weather and beach scenes, it was nice to pop in to visit Santa.

New Farm Park

Yay! Laura and Ross came to stay at our house to visit friends from Brisbane. They had been living south of Sydney but came back for the weekend to go to the company Christmas party. What a joy it was to see our best buddies again! Today we rode the City Cat to New Farm Park and had a great play date with Kristi, Patrick and Tommy.

Fraser Island

We have been very blessed to see many beautiful places in the world, and Fraser Island is one of our favorites. Below are photos of the Champane Pools which are, in my opinion, one of the most stunning places.

Lake Makenzie is below. I have never seen a lake with white sand and aqua blue waters. Absolutely stunning...even in the rain!
